Loved your interview with Pattinson (sp?). I just ordered Crime and Punishment. Read it many years ago when I took a course on Russian literature. I am looking forward to diving back into Dosteyessky. The professor in that course started by saying, “Nothings that you read in this course is true - but you will learn about the truth in these readings than any non-fiction book”. We went on to read Tolstoy, Pushkin, and Dostoyevsky. I was mostly reading nonfiction up to that point - fiction was beneath me - these books created my love for fiction.

So true -- this is very "boots on the ground" literature. We'll have to discuss CRIME AND PUNISHMENT one of these days. Thanks for listening!
