JUST FYI POD
SEASON 1, EPISODE 10: “Our 20 Most Spiritually Significant Films of All Time: #12”
The main task of Just FYI Pod’s first season is to explore the “20 Most Spiritually Significant Films of All Time.” On this Christmas-themed episode, my cohost Amy Welborn and I discuss the #12 film on our respective lists. I dive into Frank Capra’s 1946 drama It’s a Wonderful Life, while Amy argues that Billy Wilder’s 1960 romantic comedy THE APARTMENT should be remembered as a great Christmas movie. I must say: I think she’s right!
So, pour yourself a mug of eggnog (with a dash of bourbon, perhaps), pull up a chair by the fire, and contemplate these seasonal classics. And remember: ratings and reviews will help us earn our wings! As ever, links are provided below.
I have watched Its A Wonderful Life maybe 40 times. Just watched it again this weekend. I cry every time. It always gets to me. I would add Lionel Barrymore to the list of outstanding actors. He was perfect as Mr. Potter (along with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed - truly an all star cast0. One of my favorite movies. thank you for covering it in your series. I will watch The Apartment nest.
